How to read this pathway

Research produces knowledge and tools. Learning and use of these outputs are intended to change how actors reflect, strategize and collaborate. These changes are expected to improve value alignment across transitions and governance levels.

Assumptions behind the pathway

The proposal identifies conditions that must hold for the intended impact to occur. The connections express this theory of change; they are not evidence that the effects have already happened.

  • Consortium partners co-develop, adopt and share the methodologies, tools and practices.
  • Policy briefs inform policy, and intermediaries adopt the frameworks developed with them.
  • Alignment with individual and organisational values supports the use and scaling of integrative practices.
  • Scaling requires adaptation to local contexts and the involvement of different actors, rather than simply copying a solution.
  • More integrative transitions and attention to public values contribute to broad prosperity, while trade-offs between values may remain.

Shared learning.

Community of Practice

Researchers and practitioners exchange experience and work through questions about values and transitions.

Tools & examples

The programme will develop guidance and an inspiration library for policy and practice.

Professional learning

A planned course and knowledge-sharing event will connect the findings to a wider community.
